DESCRIPTION:Chronographe Suisse 18K gold chronograph c.1940s. Solid 18K gold case stamped 18K to rear, in superb condition with just a few light dents around the rear cover. Removing the outer gold cover reveals an inner base metal cover for the movement which is a Landeron cal. 48 manual wind which has been serviced including fitment of a new mainspring. All chrono functions work correctly with the elapsed second hand jumping back to zero when reset. The dial is silver in beautiful original condition with a few age related marks and general patina consistent with the vintage. These are fairly rare in gold and especially so in this excellent condition.
